2008 Awards
- Access Award- Kingsley Commons. CommonBond's Kingsley Commons, a special needs community in Minneapolis, was honored with the Access Award from the Minnesota State Council on Disabilities. The Access Award recognizes creative and outstanding innovations that reduce or eliminate barriers for individuals living with a disability.
- Community Development Hall of Fame- Kingsley Commons. Kingsley Commons, a special needs community in Minneapolis, was inducted into the inaugural Community Development Hall of Fame by LISC and MCCD. The Hall of Fame honors pioneering and long-lasting achievement in the field of community development.
- MADACS Award- The CommonBond Compliance Department was the proud recipient of a MADACS Team Award.
- MADACS Award- Kingsley Commons. Kingsley Commons, a special needs community in Minneapolis, was the proud recipient of a MADACS Award for Best New Development in Affordable Housing.
- MADACS Award - St. Anne's Senior Housing. St. Anne's Senior Housing was the proud recipient of a MADACS Award for Property Excellence in Affordable Housing.
- MADACS Award- Todd Winsor, a CommonBond maintenance technician, was the proud recipient of a MADACS Award for Maintenance.
2007 Awards
- MADACS Award- Stacy Ekholm. A CommonBond Regional Manager received the Common Interest Community Manager of the Year.
- 5 MADACS Awards Five other CommonBond events, employees, and properties received award nominations.
2006 Awards
- MADACS Award- City Flats Apartments. A family community in Minneapolis, was the proud recipient of a MADACS Award for Total Building Renovation/Remodel.
- MANDI finalist- Tewles Seed Tower. The MANDIs (Milwaukee Awards for Neighborhood Development Innovation) were introduced by The Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) in 1999 as an effort to acknowledge and promote the accomplishments of the community development industry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This year, CommonBond's Historic Teweles Seed Tower Apartment building was a finalist in the State Farm Insurance Building Blocks Award in MANDI's Large Project Category.
2005 Awards
- MADACS Award- Lydia Apartments, a special needs community in Minneapolis, for Property Excellence in the Best New Affordable Housing Category.
- Epic Enterprises' "Buisness Partner of the Year"- Wellstone Commons. CommonBond Communities and the staff at Wellstone Commons are chosen "Business Partner of the Year for 2005" by Epic Enterprises. Epic employs persons living with developmental disabilities and provides services in Northfield.
- MADACS Award-Shingle Creek Commons, a senior community in Minneapolis, for Best On-Site Manager. Special congratulations to Grant Watkins, the 2005 manager at this location.
2004 Awards
- MADACS Award- Lydia Apartments, a special needs community in Minneapolis, for Complete/Total Building Renovation
- MADACS Award- Seward Tower East, a family community in Minneapolis, for Property Excellence, buildings built prior to 1980, 151+ Units
2003 Awards
- MADACS Award- Valley Square Commons, a family community in Golden Valley, for Property Excellence, 1-25 units
- MADACS Award- Valley Square Commons, a family community in Golden Valley, for Property Excellence in the Affordable Family category
- MADACS Award- Arbor Lakes Commons, a senior community in Maple Grove, for Best New Affordable Senior Development
2002 Awards
- MADACS Award- Shingle Creek Commons, a senior community in Minneapolis, for Property Excellence in the Senior Housing category
2001 Awards
- MADACS Award- Lake Shore Townhomes, a family community in Maple Grove, for Property Excellence in the Affordable Family category
- Catholic Charities Director's Community Service Award- CommonBond Communities received the Director's Community Service Award from Catholic Charities. The award is given to a community group for outstanding accomplishment in working for the poor or disenfranchised.
2000 Awards
- MADACS Award- Cathedral Hill Homes, a family community in St. Paul, for Property Excellence in the Total Building Rehabilitation category. Awarded to CommonBond and The Cornerstone Group
- St. Paul Heritage Preservation- Cathedral Hill Homes. CommonBond Communities and Cornerstone received an award from The St. Paul Heritage Preservation Commission for promoting and enhancing the cities historic character with the rehabilitation of Cathedral Hill Homes, a family community in St. Paul.
- Smart Growth Design Honorable Mention- Cathedral Hill Homes, St. Paul received an honorable mention from the Smart Growth Design Awards, 1000 Friends of Minnesota.
- HUD Best Practices Award- Skyline Tower Advantage Center. Commonbond's Skyline Tower, a family community in St. Paul, won the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Best Practices Award for its innovative Advantage Center model. This national award is given to the top 100 programs or projects nationwide that:
have a significant impact on those it is intended to serve, can be replicated in other parts of the country, region or community and display creativity in addressing a problem.
- HUD Secretary's Commendation- Maple Terrace, a senior housing community in Maple Plain; Summit Point, a senior housing community in Edina; and Ramsey Commons, a community for people with developmental disabilities in St. Paul, each received a Secretary's Commendation. This national recognition from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development acknowledges these properties as "Top 1,000" High Performing Multifamily Properties.

- MADACS Award- Success Family Housing, a family community in Minneapolis, for Property Excellence in the Affordable Family category.
- MADACS Award- Seward Towers, a family community in Minneapolis, for the Best All Around Public Event for a Community - Advantage Center Event
- MADACS Award- CommonBond Communities company website for Excellence in Electronic and Internet Marketing
- MHFA Excellence in Affordable Housing Initiative Award- CommonBond Communities accepted with great pride the Excellence in Affordable Housing Initiative Award from the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency (MHFA). In its third year, the Partners in Affordable Housing competition celebrated the exceptional contributions of organizations and individuals who provided affordable housing and raised awareness of the needs associated with people with low incomes.

- MADACS Award- Boulevard Gardens, a senior community in Minnetonka, for Property Excellence in the Senior Housing category
- MHA- Pillar Award- CommonBond Communities. CommonBond Communities received the Pillar Award for the advancement of affordable housing in Minnesota from the Minnesota Multi Housing Association.
- Maxwell Awards of Excellence- Ford House, a community for people living with HIV/AIDS, was selected as a finalist for the Maxwell Awards of Excellence from the Fannie Mae Foundation.
