Arts & Aging Book: Creative Connections

The Power of Creativity

CommonBond’s Arts and Aging program allows participants to use the arts as a vehicle for lifelong learning and community building.

We offer arts learning programs taught by professional artists at no cost to residents aged 55 and better. Whether someone joins as a lifelong artist, or if they’re discovering their creative voice for the very first time, these classes offer a welcoming space for all.

What’s more, research shows the transformative effect of participatory arts programs on the health and well-being of older adults. Classes range from drawing, painting, and pottery to creative writing, digital photography, and much more!

Recently, our Arts and Aging team put together a beautiful collection of artwork from residents.

Alongside the artwork, you’ll find insights from professional teaching artists, offering a glimpse into the impact of art on residents’ lives.

We invite you to explore this collection of work and celebrate the creativity, resilience, and joy of resident artists! Click below to view the book:
