Exciting new partnership with the DGS Foundation for 2023 MN United FC soccer season
CommonBond Communities is proud to partner with the DGS Foundation and the MN Dark Clouds for the 2023 Minnesota United season. The Dark Clouds are the largest supporters group of Minnesota United FC (MNUFC). Wherever MNUFC go, “the Dark Clouds follow.” The DGS Foundation is a 501(c)(3) that partners with and expands the philanthropic and volunteer efforts of MNUFC supporters groups (SGs) and fans doing good in the community.
Together, The Dark Clouds and DGS run a program called the Dark Clouds Charity Club Card, or D4C. This program collects pledged donations which then go to a selected nonprofit organization. This year, the D4C recipient will be CommonBond!
“We are really excited for the opportunity to partner with the Dark Clouds this season,” says Katie Selph, Director of Communications for CommonBond Communities. “They are active in the community, and this program is a fun and engaging way for folks to give back. We are happy to be selected as their charity of choice this year!”
What is the Dark Clouds Charity Club Card (D4C) Program?
D4C allows MNUFC fans (or anyone) to pledge for disciplinary cards received by players during games, which ‘gets good results out of bad behavior.’ It is a lighthearted way to engage fans while doing good in our community.
It’s really simple to get involved, whether you’re a member of the SGs, a fan of the team, or just looking to do good! Complete this form on their website to pledge any dollar amount for each yellow and red card earned by an MNUFC player during the 2023 season. At the end of the season, all funds collected will be donated to CommonBond!
As an added bonus, at the end of the year, the player with the most money raised for charity will also win the Fowlanthropist of the year award!
