Funding for Torre De San Miguel will allow for critical repairs

Torre De San Miguel is one of our oldest and most close-knit properties. “The community is made up of neighbors who feel like family and look out for one another,” says Samira, a young resident at Torre and first-year student at the University of Minnesota.
Because Torre was built in 1971, acquired by CommonBond in the 1980s, and last rehabbed in 2007, the 142 homes need some love and care. For years, CommonBond leaders and residents have been planning, advocating, and working on securing the needed funding for the Torre rehabilitation project to take place.
Thanks to investment from our public partners and foundation support, Torre is now fully funded, and the rehabilitation is planned to begin in late 2026.
