Increasing Affordability in the Greater Twin Cities Area

The end of July brought two exciting property and land acquisitions—Willow Wood Estates property in Plymouth (pictured above), and Owasso Gardens land in Roseville. These purchases will result in 100 more units of affordable housing for communities in the greater Twin Cities area!

Located at 10850 South Shore Drive just south of Medicine Lake, the Willow Wood Estates property will be a 40-unit family townhome community, with great proximity to local amenities, schools, and express route transit. The acquisition allows us to preserve large family housing that is fully subsidized by Section 8.

In Roseville, the Owasso Gardens land will become a 60-unit housing community for seniors ages 55 and up, complete with a community room, a common laundry, gardening beds, and outdoor seating (artist rendering below). After having secured funding from Minnesota Housing Finance Agency last year, we look forward to beginning construction around November and to have this community come to life!

Read more about these two acquisitions in the Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal below!

I'm thrilled to hear your good news. BUT, when the time comes will you be able to keep the online vulchurs from squeezing a profit out of everybody who may be in serious need of housing???

Hi Connie, we'll always fight for affordability! You're right that it's a tight market, but home is the foundation for everything, and safe, stable, affordable homes will always be at the center of our work.
