The Minnesota State Housing Tax Credit Program can be a win-win for affordable housing and your taxes
Minnesota’s State Housing Tax Credit Program and Contribution Fund is a great way for eligible taxpayers to support the preservation and development of affordable housing throughout Minnesota while receiving a generous tax credit.
Applications for the 2024 tax year are open! They are accepted on a first come, first served basis.
What’s so great about this tax program, you ask?
- Eligible Minnesota taxpayers can contribute to the fund and receive a state tax credit certificate (TCC) that equals 85% of their contribution. TCCs arrive within 30 days of your contribution, so you can secure it early and use it when you file for 2024!
- It empowers those eligible to direct their tax dollars to affordable housing projects and leverage $6.70 for every dollar personally invested.
- Contributions will provide funding for eligible housing projects in local communities – including CommonBond properties like St. Anne’s Senior Housing! You can help preserve this Minneapolis community that provides 61 affordable homes for older adults and people with disabilities.
Our team would love to tell you more about this great opportunity. To learn more and explore if this program is a fit for you, please contact:
